Stéille is proud to present 'Regn' a new work by Irish artist/musician J. Cowhie under his 'c o m t e' alias.

The title 'Regn' which translates to 'rain' in Swedish, serves as a personal exploration of the calming experience of immersing oneself in the sound of rainfall. This project embraces the principles of deep listening and is presented in four distinct pieces, all rooted in field recordings as their foundational and creative source.

"Ever since I was young, I've had a deep affection for the soothing sound of rain. Over the years, I've discovered that listening to rain can be a profoundly meditative experience. As I've travelled to various countries, I've made it a habit to record the rain in each location, creating a continually expanding archive. These recordings serve as the basis for the work presented here. From there I’ve tried to compose as freely as possible to attain those meditative elements."
